Biography
Bryce Platt Kayanuma is a doctoral candidate in Instructional Design and Technology at Virginia Tech. His research interests include communities of practice, interdisciplinary quantitative methods, distance learning, and systems thinking. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in St Peter, Minnesota, Bryce moved to Japan to study for a Master's degree in Global Communications with a focus on Data Literacy. Upon graduation, he worked with a number of academic non-profit organisations in Japan and the US before starting his doctoral studies and a Master's in Information Technologies, both at Virginia Tech.
